END-OF-LIFE SUPPORT
Death doula support is appropriate for anyone who is living with a serious or terminal illness, is nearing end-of-life, or anyone interested in exploring their end-of-life vision.
You deserve care, support, and dignity while exploring what the end of life means to you.
I acknowledge and respect all cultural beliefs, religions, and spiritual affiliations, and I tailor my work to you and your needs. I work in all settings of care: homes, residential facilities, nursing homes, hospices, and hospitals.
As a death doula, I offer:
Guidance, companionship, and education for you and your loved ones through the dying process. This can include memorial projects (storytelling, videos, letters, memory books, etc.), vigil plans (the blueprint of your wishes), guided imagery, rituals (ceremonies and tributes), and processing anticipatory grief
Education on differences between palliative care and hospice, and navigating these options throughout your illness. I can also help you fill out your advance directives, DNR, and POLST, and review any additional end-of-life documents
Support and companionship in MAiD (Medical Aid in Dying) and VSED (Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking), where legal. I can help you understand your options and facilitate open, honest conversations with your loved ones and healthcare providers so that your wishes are known.
